Looking to order a set of H&R lowering springs for my 1989 635 Highline. Euros have them listed for 6 series 1981-1987 with the following H&R part number: 29534-2
Surely the early 81 model e24 would have earlier struts with bigger spring cups which would mean the springs listed wouldn't work right?
Can someone shed some light on this as don't want to order in the wrong parts.
New bilstein suspension has arrived now just need the lowering springs so I can start assembling

I installed H&R sport springs in my '84 back in '13. I just looked at the invoice from Turner, it had part #50428, Turner #3676. Can't answer the early '81 question though.

They are being mis advertised. They early cars, pre 82, and the E28 chassis cars take different springs., The proper springs are available all over Ebay at an average price of around $275 IIRC for top brand names

Yeah~~ I have found out the hard way the e28 springs will not fit my 87 e24 despite what all the expert NMW mechanics part changers gougers say or do.

As stated by RossDinan6, the H&R part number I used for my 87 m6 was H&R 50428. Front and rear springs.
