Clutch failed on my 87 635Csi. So, I have the new MC and slave cylinder in hand and removed the seat, etc. to get a clear look.
While under there, I noticed where the brake master cylinder pushrod emerges from the firewall was a little wet.
Since the regulator & bomb sit between the master cylinder and the pedal, should I look at replacing them, or the MC? Maybe both?

That’s the hydraulic brake booster that’s leaking at the rear seal. Contact JCS for his rebuild or parts services.
Unfortunately the booster and M/C work in tandem and are bolted together. Fixing one or the other usually ends up causing a leak in the other unit so best to refresh both at the same time.
The regulator and bomb are only connected to the booster with hoses. Good luck.

So, repair the regulator, and replace the MC and brake bomb?
