rebuilding sideloader lsd?

Post by marc79euro645 » Mon Jun 28, 2021 8:12 pm

My 79 euro 635 w/ sideloader 3.45 lsd needs a rebuild, and I'd like to get more lockup than stock. I'm thinking it's just a matter of adding a shim, but how much do I shim it? Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks, I'm aware of MM, and have studied their site. I don't want to spend the money to have them do it, so, I'm trying to find the info to do it myself. I'd feel like I'd be wrong to call them and ask how to do it, and not do business with them.

I appreciate your integrity, I have purchased from them so I
come from a different angle.

I had my diff rebuilt at a place that does tractor/trailer trans and diffs. I asked him about putting more lock up in it but he felt to just leave it stock. I paid him $300 for labor and I supplied the bearings and seals
81 Euro 635 M90 with motronic. Currently under a complete nut and bolt restoration. Pictures at
