UUC Swaybars

Post by rrrs »

Is there someone that successfully mounted UUC sway bar set?
I got a set of their 27mm front / 22mm rear sway bars including adjustable front links and bushings with brackets.
It all looks really well made but really do not understand how is one supposed to mount much larger, 2 bolt hole brackets onto stock brackets that are on the car.
I did manage to speak to Arjun from UUC and he told me "they should just bolt directly to your stock brackets, I got them mounted on my car"....
Recently tried to call again to get some help/pictures, but impossible to get them on the phone.

Was wondering if there is someone using this setup and would not mind sharing some photos of the mounting points?
I can see that fronts could be made to work probably changing the brackets on the car to the M5 style, but really can not see how to get rear once to work.

I did post this on E28 forum as well, just hoping to find someone that used those.

Yes, was aware of that, I got the non-M once.
It seems I will have to cut my mounts from the car and weld M-style on the front while really not sure how to solve the rear once.
The supplied rear bushings/brackets are WAY bigger than stock (actually same size as on the front) and there is really no place in there that I can see how to make them work.
Really strange that I can not find a single person that mounted this bars on E24 or E28 (I did check on MyE28 forum as well); some pictures would really help.
Also frustrating that it is so hard to get any help from UUC...

I'm looking @ the kit and can't see new brackets.
Could you take photos of the brackets and where
they're supposed to mount on the car?

Hi, the photo from the web does not really show the bars I got; they also advertise 3 position adjustments holes in the front while bars I got have 2 positions front and rear.
Here are couple of photos showing the bushing bracket I got with the bars next to my stock mounts (front and rear).
It clearly seems I will have to do some custom work here...

My recent UUC order for E24 short shift kit and DSSR rod has turned out quite poorly.

Incorrect parts were shipped, no response to my emails, unable to get through to “customer service “ via phone over many weeks.

I failed to take initial due diligence: Google “UUC problems” and it’s all there…

I’ve got a VISA complaint/refund cooking, as my last resort.

Adding insult to injury, despite clicking “Unsubscribe to emails” I continue to regularly receive discount offers e.g. ASBs, etc.

Guy does talk a good game taking orders…

Are all 4 brackets the same? My front brackets from Ireland sway bars
required drilling holes thru the channel to hold the back of the bracket.
