brake lines

Post by mikex1 »

hi members, another topic,my brake pads were binding against discs on front, car hadnt been driven 12 mths so had drop by friends garage, jack up car, wheels off and free pads, upon doing this found LHS front outer brake line slightly leaking fluid. Brake lines need replacing, you can buy kit brake lines from pelican parts US,2 X rear inner, outer RHS,LHS and front inner LHS,RHS,6 lines in pack, your advice do think front inner lines which are longer need replacing as well and rear lines. OEM rubber lines or stainless braded lines, what do some members use. thanking you. mikex1

Not pertinent to our USA friends...but have just bought a full set of HEL braided hoses for my 635 brake conversion. Will post how they 'feel' when fitted.

Those HEL brake lines look interesting. How did they turn out?

I checked with HEL and they can't confirm that their brake lines fit a US 1988 M6. On realoem the rear brake lines are noted as same between a base 635 and a M6, but the fronts have different part numbers. Does anybody know the difference between the front brake lines? Is it just length?

Thanks
