S38 ignition wiring set
Greetings all hope you and yours and your rides are good. I've had two no starts because of the coil lead to my ignition lead set. I have been told I need a new set. BMW no longer make it. I've looked at aftermarket ones which say they are suitable for my BMW 1985 M635 but when I put in the chassis no. It comes up unsuitable for my vehicle. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket set that they know fits my car; or any other viable solutions please? Thanks in advance. Emmanuel M6

Kingsborne Wire Works is the way to go, there are a couple of existing threads regarding this topic.

These look interesting - and are also significantly less expensive than some I have seen! I have contacted the manufacturer to see if he would be interested in offering a group buy price. I will let you all know how I get on....DC wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 11:12 am hi, I can recommend https://www.formulapower.com/

Re: S38 ignition wiring set
Thanks for getting back. I did see a sports set on eBay but when I quizzed the seller re compatibility he was a bit vague. I bought a set for £373 from a manufacturer called intermotor. I haven't fitted them yet but will let you know.

Re: S38 ignition wiring set
Fitted new leads today and everything good. Sports ones are cheaper and I would have got them if the seller was more definite about suitability; but if you want to keep things original and use the wire tube, this is the set for you. Thanks for your help as always. Emmanuel

Re: S38 ignition wiring set
I have contacted the manufacturer who offered them at £170 per set. Since they are relatively expensive, I'd better allow £10 for shipping (UK excluding Highlands & Islands), elsewhere let me have your location and I'll get a price. Let me know if you are interested?Pod wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 4:05 pmThese look interesting - and are also significantly less expensive than some I have seen!
