Air Flow Meter

Post by sideshowbob »

Just a quick enquiry....does anyone on here know of anybody or any firms that are able to recondition Air Flow Meters for our cars.

As this is such a vital piece of equipment for the efficient running of these cars I thought I would ask the question, prior to possibly problems with mine later in the day.

THANKS

Bavarian Restorations.

http://www.bavrest.com

I've had two reworked by them and they made all the difference in the world. Went from horrible idle/almost non-runner to perfect idle and smooth and responsive acceleration. However, they were both E30 AFMs. I am assuming they can rework any of the barn door units.

Edit: according to their website, they can service any Bosch or Denso AFM. =D>

With help of these videos, it isn't to hard to do it yourself.

Testing:

Refurbishment:

Or you could perhaps buy a remanufactured one at this UK based company. (check the correct part no. first).

Thanks for that...was aware of ATP. Rang them a few days ago but no one answering the phone.

Hence my posting on the forum.

Will try them again, when things are a bit more normal^
