M635 Right hand drive AC Evaporator part #

Post by K1W1 »

OK I give up (and we haven't even started to try and remove it !)

Does someone know what the right part number for this part please?

And even better if you can recommenced a supplier.

Not hard to find supply for LHD it seems 645113723 earlier units, 64511375781 for later units (I think), tho images vary amongst suppliers which is scary. Maybe they do fit RHD ?

What really doesn't help is that RealOEM has it greyed out when I put the VIN in 0760328.

And as for Pelican who shipped me a damaged compressor that then failed just out of warranty - and after all of about 1000 km enough said. Not practical to return from NZ ...

Kindly enter the year, model and vin # in your profile as it will assist others to help you faster.

For look up you can also try BMWFAN as well as REALoem.

The following link is from BMWFAN, it appears the evaporator was sold as a assembled AC assembly for RH drives.

You may want to reach out to: https://www.wallothnesch.com/

You may have to have one made.

Thanks Roger - will do.

Spent a while at BMW yesterday and they confirmed it comes up as not fitted per the VIN, which matches the fact that on RealOEM the parts are grey'd out.

It is, and was fitted from new ... so the guy tried plan B and then plan C. He believes it is 64511372363 for just the evaporator. BMW Germany show stock of more than 70 so we will start with the compressor and move on here if I have too and take the chance it fits or is modifiable.

Appreciate the response, thank you, Julian

So just about to order on ECS tuning and ...

6451375781 comes up as the evaporator for the M6 & 3.4l 635
64511373363 comes up for the 635 & E28's incl M5

In both cases USA models. So would left and right hand drive really be different? And would the M6 and 635 really have been different
to each other ?

Surely the system was the same inside the car and the firewall connections would have been the same ?

any clues or advice welcomed. Thanks Julian
