Broken mount on dogleg gearbox

Post by rs6 »

Hello guys,

Sadly the seller from Germany didn't told me that one of the back mount was damaged and it was not on the gearbox anymore.
So currently the gearbox is screwed on the engine and only one mount at the back.
Any idea how to repair that? It's aluminium so it's hard to weld.
Maybe someone have that part of the gearbox so I can change it?

Thanks

Best, Igor

The E24 dogleg tranny is the same tranny in the E30 M3 so perhaps you can try to get parts for E30 M3.

I would fabricate a steel mount that would utilize the case bolts on the trans. I would not weld on the case at all.
