S38/M88 Ignition Coil-On-Plug for standalone system.

Post by Anri »

Gents,

I have completed several S38 cars with custom engine management system.

COP Coil-On-Plug is a part of the engine management system.

I put a nice COP package together. Functionality and Esthetics are very hi requirements
of mine. No wires are hanging nor showing anywhere. As of bonus people love the
red accent like the red-plug-wires.

My system appearance is 'factory-like'. Replacing coil is under 15 seconds.

Cheers.

Regards,
Anri

Hi Richard,

I would like to make sure that you understand that this system will require after market
standalone system no more oem ECU.

In general most ignition coils do work well. Avoid ignition coils which use wires to get
to the spark plug. For example M42, LS, MSD, coils do use wires meaning that the Coils are
not direct mounted on top of spark plug. That means a) a wire comes out of the ignition coil
connects to the pencil coil and then that connects to the spark plug, b) it will require
additional 12 hanging wires on top of the valve cover and it will look like spider net on top
of the Classic S38/M88 valve cover. c) the extra wires coming from the coils going to the pencil coils
will be subject of aging means potential wire cable failure in a future. At last the electricity
will travel from the coil to the spark plug meaning its not direct. For sure not my cup of tea.

If you are interest you can PM me I have 2 more sets as a complete package and ready to go,
just how you see it in the picture.

Regards,
Anri
