Thanks Addam... certainly interested to have a look.

I suspect fitment/mounting might be an issue for my E12 based car. But shoot through a photo or 2 if you can.

Many thanks again...

shop looks great, very professional. Must be some capital outlay. Hope it all works well for you.

Have you considered calling Alpina and becoming an Aussie Agent. Cometic (Gaskets) and a few other US speciality firms (VAC Motorsports) and UK Speciality firms (CATCAMS) could do with model specific agents out here. I had the worst time trying to get an MLS Gasket for my racer. The Sydney agent had no idea that M30 and S38 engines were different. Took me 3 trips and in the end I found someone in the US who could order it for me (TDC, hey, mayhaps you can become a TDC agent as well).

Just some thoughts, seems like a good synergy for you to agent up with all of the early BMW performance fabricators.

Josh

Oh, I'm after two rear speaker pods. I've got the headrests but those who know my car will note some idiot kid fabricated timber units. I had them covered to match (e12 633 light blue interior) but they still look crap. Do you have any really good speaker pods? Lt me know if you need photos.

Hi Addam,

Now we get some photo's. The shop looks great!
The manifold and bits are on, car's registered, and even the cold start system functions properly.

Thanks!

Thanks Guys
Rob I am going on the Drive next month with you and I have 3 other 6 series coming.
Its amazing how many guys I have talked to regarding 6 series that own one and don't get on the forums.
I spoke to a guy yesterday named David that has 3 x 635csi and a 633i.
He was wrapped how someone as passionate about early Bimmers has opened a yard. It makes me feel great that I am going to do my best to keep our cars on the road.

Guys anyone wanting to get on my database for any new 6 series that come in please pm me your
Username
Real name and address
Email and Contact number
Vin number and car model
All members here on Big Coupe will get a 20% discount on all your parts that I am selling.
I have some really great 6 series stuff coming in and would like all you guys to get looked after.
I would love a picture of you and your car also if possible to add to your profiles

Hi Greg
This is the Email I received from Rob Battle

Jul 25 (2 days ago)

to Scotty, alis, Athol, Barry, Barry, Claude, chris, dan, darren, Darryl, dstr, Elwyn, Gareth, Geoff, glee, grd, Graham, jsee, Larry, malc, Malcolm, Mike, Russell, john, Greg

Hi Everyone.

Sorry for not communicating sooner but you would have seen from Facebook that I'm pretty busy with the E9 right now..

The club is having an outing on Sunday 11th August to present a cheque to the RACQ Careflight HQ at Maroochydore Airport..

There are two ways of getting there which is a "Brekky Run convoy meeting at 6:15 AM for a 6:45 AM departure from the BP at Morayfield on the Bruce Highway northbound. This option goes via the Blackall ranges up to Maroochydore.

The second option is the Highway Convoy which meets at 7:30 AM for an 8AM departure straight up the highway..

I would like to get as many sixers there as possible and I'm sure you are all ready for a day out by now!

Breakfast is at 9:15 am and will cost $15.

We are also having a facility tour of the Careflight centre at 9:45 and presenting a club donation at 10:45.

Could you get back to me if you would like to go to this and also which option you would prefer??

I would prefer the first option but I realise that it will be a very early start from your warm beds in Brissie?

Regards

Rob Battle

Well this one is cheap for us to buy as we traded a E34 535i M sports for it.
Great thing is no money changed hands for the car. He got a great running 1992 model and we got a car that needs a lot of work but has amazing interior in it.
Good points
Full service history
Low km on M90 motor
Getrag Dogleg gearbox
LSD
Amazing White Interior
Momo Sports wheel
Fully working electrics
Solid motor (M90)

Bad Points
Yucky Old English Paint colour
18 inch wheels

All in all
Put the car upon the hoist and except the steering linkage needs replacing and rust on the passenger side foot well near the firewall the rust is minimal so looking at either parting or repair and re register to keep another 635 on the road.
what do you guys think. :-k
