I hope so, Jose. We're counting on getting a look at your M6 and those seats.

Do you know any good places in that area for barbeque, sandwiches or steaks? If I recall, one of your expertise's includes culinary matters and we're going to need to eat at some point...

Guys; I just goggled both Morago and Morgana, Cal, and nothing came up!
It was spelled both ways, so, I did it both ways.
Which is it guys, and what is the zipcode? You've gotten me curious. :-?

I figure if you goggle the city, you'll find some eaterys?
To help everyone, please post the correct spelling and zipcode?
A guy could get lost in no-man's land!
OOPS! For a minute there I was on the tennis court! #-o

I just goggled the correct spelling, I was wrong there too!
I goggled 'restaurants in Moraga, Cal', and, I came up with a deli & others.
Even a chiropractor, just in case!
Have fun, Greg

Moraga is really easy to miss-spell. I did the same thing when I first tried to find it. Hell, I just noticed I spelled the road wrong in my original post. I'd never heard of the place before and I only live about 35 minutes away. The Zip Code for Moraga is: 94556

Here's a little blurb I found online:

Moraga (incorporating the former communities of Moraga Town, Rheem, and Rheem Valley) is an affluent suburban incorporated town located in Contra Costa County, California, United States, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is named in honor of Joaquin Moraga, whose grandfather was José Joaquin Moraga, second in command to Juan Bautista de Anza. As of the 2000 census, Moraga was the 79th wealthiest place in the US with a population above 10,000.
As of 2010, Moraga had a total population of 16,016 people.

After reading that, I'm looking forward to checking this place out!

We'd love to see you there, Greg!

Good and bad news . . .

Post by GRNSHRK »

Bad news first, most likely not gonna make this one #-o

Kinda far away, and lots of other stuff lined up this coming weekend, like getting my other vehicle ready for smog check

However, there is good news as well

The following Saturday, May 10th, the BMW CCA GGC South Bay C&C event is being held at Dinan in Mountain View, which should be a very cool event

Maybe you south bay guys, or anyone else for that matter, might wanna think about this event as well

So how many BMW CCA folks might be there? I've been meaning to renew my membership.

Well, since it's at Dinan . . .

Post by GRNSHRK »

... very likely to be packed

The events at Dinan shops always draw a crowd =D>

And since it IS a CCA event, the only people who would know about it and are not members, would be those fortunate enough to be on boards like ours

FWIW, while the $45 annual membership cost (or whatever it is...) seems like a bit much, that can easily be redeemed with stealer discounts, etc. :-k

And of course, the Roundel is a good read as well 8)

The May 10 event is the same day as my wife's 40th birthday. We all know which event trumps.

For the $45 a year, I think Roundel and the potential of one useful discount make it a worthwhile expense. I also haven't done any autocross at all and now that I'm getting my 2002 back on the road, I would really like to give it a whirl and see how the turbo/propane setup will perform. What better place to break it in, than a BMW CCA event?

If you recruit people to BMW CCA, make sure they mention you as their "sponsor". You get $5 in "CCA BUX" for each new member recruited. I use mine to bring the cost of re-ups down.

I really enjoyed this morning's meet, checking out different cars and talking the talk.

Always great to reconnect with friends and meet new ones.

Invariably, I come away from these events inspired and excited by at least one completely unexpected idea for the next "thing" I'm going to do to or with my Shark.

Thanks!! =D> =D>

Okay, I'm back up and running on the site.

I also enjoyed the May 10 meet in Moraga. It was great to meet the other 6er owners as well as fellow BMWCCA members. Thanks for organizing Brett and I hope to catch the next event.
