Approximate G265/6 value?
I've found what I believe to be a good deal, even if I don't end up using the transmission. It's a getrag g265/6 with an M30 bellhousing, but unknown history, untested, and frankly looks pretty neglected. Just curious what others think it may be worth and if i'd be getting a good deal.

This reply may be a little late. IMO a decent looking 265/6 that spins nice and smoothly with no crunching, cleanish oil, and not too much lateral play in the input shaft which is the achilles heal for these transmissions would be worth $800 or up. Bell housing is a bonus worhth maybe $150 and up.

Surely depends upon whether its a 265/5 or 265/6?

This may be some indication of where 265/6 prices are or are headed. A proven operating unit for $1500, not cheap but maybe cheaper than an unproven unit for $1000.
