Different size tires front and back

Post by BillW »

Has anyone used taller/wider tires in the back. I am going for a racy look, with 16 inch wheels.
  • 225 55 16 front (or 225 50 16)
  • 245 50 16 rear
Otherwise 225 all around.

225/55's and 245/50's are probably the same height, but they may interfere with the underside of the spring perches, so you might want to look into the overall diameter of these tire sizes versus stock and see if this might be the case :-k

IIRC, the "correct" tires sizes for 16" wheels would be the following:

205/55
225/50
245/45

This may throw the speedo off as well :-?

And we will want to see pix, of course =D>
