Seat adjustment motors
The driver's seat adjustments in my M6 work only inconsistently. Anyone know of someone who rebuilds the electrical motors?
Re: Seat adjustment motors
As an alternative, have you looked on the internet for secondhand? And are you sure it's motor related or could it be faulty seat controls.

Re: Seat adjustment motors
I do believe it is motor related, as when I push the buttons, I can hear clicking from beneath the seat.

Could be a relay in the memory box. Pages 5200-0 thru 5200 A-5

Re: Seat adjustment motors
Great info. Thanks so much.
Re: Seat adjustment motors
So the motor(s) is (are) running, but not moving the seat? The head rest is moved via a flexi cable and that can be a problem even when there's nothing wrong with the motor, but I thought most if not all of the other elements were direct drive.

Re: Seat adjustment motors
No - one or two of the motors only click, are not running. I think the memory switch is involved.
Re: Seat adjustment motors
For what it's worth I get clicking sounds, but that's only when the requested action is already at the full extent of its travel.

Re: Seat adjustment motors
I had a similar issue with my 633 passenger seat. Seats would move vertically but not horizontally. After removing the seat from the motors to test (motors worked fine) found that the rails that that seat travels on had worn a groove into the rail. The weight of the seat alone created such a drag that it kept the seat from moving.
I couldn’t repair or locate a working seat rail/track so I went with manual seats. I did keep all motors from the seats though. Let me know if you still need a set or two.
