I've fitted several head units to my car now from retro to modern and the nicest looking was the CD43 Business unit from the e36 era .
I removed it as I wanted to use my Ipod as the input source but none of the others fitted since have been as attractive in situ.
I've trawled through Youtube and looked at the many many vids on how to fit a 3.5mm aux in jack to various cd/tape units but all are obviously different .
Has anyone carried out such a mod on the CD43 ?

Re: Aux in modification.
Thanks for that BW .
After speaking with a couple of guys on BMW IE site who have these fitted and spoke highly of them , I've went with this .

Simple plug and play and with a aux/usb extension discreetly mounted will give me what I'm looking for .
There is a similar unit with Bluetooth facility too but I don't want that in the e24.

I'll post an update on it when it's fitted.
