windscreen wash pumps

Post by mumbojumbo »

Hey guys,

I have an '87 M635CSI and the washer pumps (not intensive wash which works fine) have corroded and dont work.
The set up with all the pipework and pumps looks elaborate compared to what im used to with my E34's and later E39's etc.
I like OEM finishes so are the pumps available from the dealer? Im sure others have a similar issue, how did you guys fix this?
thx
Clem

The pumps, seals, hose and other fittings were available back in Jan 2019, and I suspect they are still available now.
Don't forget to order new rubber seals for the pumps and it's worth getting new electrical plugs as well because the old ones will probably be broken.
I added quick connectors for the hoses to the main reservior so that it could be removed easily without draining.
