I finally broke down and bought a new passenger side door weatherstrip for my 87 m6. The old one wasnt too bad just stiff and leaked a little air. Putting the new one in was a ton of fun!
Anyone that has successfully slid the new rubber up the metal channel is a magician. I ended up sliding a small piece all the way to the top corner and used a plastic trim tool to tuck it all in. I raised the car on a lift so I didnt have to bend over. That helped a lot.
If anyone wants my old rubber let me know, just cover shipping. It isn't ripped or torn at all, just stiff around the window. I hate to toss it if someone needs one.

Re: door weatherstrip
That reminds me, I need to change my passenger side as well. I did the drivers side years ago.
After you were done, did you have to realign your door a bit to relieve some pressure off of the window?

Re: door weatherstrip
Tommy, the door is pretty tight right now. I loosened the catch up a little and every few days I open and close it a bunch of times. It seems to be settling. It actually fits really well at the glass, but is "tight" at the top front corner of the door. I think it will be fine once it settles in.

Re: door weatherstrip
I'm in the process of replacing my passenger side rubber seal. Is there a process of getting the rubber into the track at certain places? I'm having a heck of a time with the angle toward the front by the mirror. Any help is appreciated.

I used a plastic trim tool and fought with it until I got it in the slot. I didn't slide it in.

Re: door weatherstrip
I've been using some plastic tools as well. Spent some time on that today, will give it a go tomorrow. Thanks
