635CSI Motorsport Edition - Tom Hartley

Post by Soperman »

For those that don't know, Tom Hartley is a trader in high end supercars here in the UK.
So I was surprised to see this, relatively humble, 635CSi Motorsport in Misano Red on his website.

https://www.tomhartley.com/used-car-det ... l/id-7721/

Now I don't know much about the 635CSi market, but isn't £50k for an 88,000 mile example, how shall I put this politely, ambitious?

Nice car!
I think it has been repainted, the bumper covers are missing the black trims.

When you see what anything that has a Ford badge attached is fetching I'd say it was worth each and every penny.
There has always got to be a first.

Anyone would think he is offering an M635, reading the spiel on the website

I'm pleased that the pricing envelope is being continually expanded as it can only help those of us with collections of E24s.

However, I do feel concerned that with the ever-increasing values of our cars, fewer new, younger owners will be joining our happy band :(

Pretty car. One would think they could have put the trunk badge back in the proper location for that kind of English pounds!

If I lived in a country where the steering wheel would be on the wrong side of the car 8) , I would go for this one:

Estimate from: £23,000, half the price of the red one.

I agree on both those counts. Also there's something not quite right about the fit of the bonnet on the driver's side and the top plastic cover over the bumper has an unusual, albeit totally uniform, gap right across.

Very sharp Phil!
It is a very nice car but not perfect, for this price it should be, in my opinion.

And there's a rusty screw in one of the side repeaters, and several trim plugs missing, and no pin striping, and black sills, and a surprising lack of under bonnet and in boot pics.... ShalI I go on? lol

I agree, much better value for money, although I didn't see a mileage figure?

I found on another website it has done 97000 miles.
