Rockford Fosgate amp - old school but still works!

Post by GRNSHRK »

Well, I wound up replacing basically replaced everything during the "great stereo redo" as much of it was no longer functioning properly, but the amp still works fine =D>

So I am offering this up for sale, probably not worth much but willing to hear offers :-"

I would prefer not to have to ship, as its rather heavy, but could do so at the buyer's expense

I will be following up soon with a thread about my ordeal and all of the new stuff I bought, that includes a new Alpine head unit and not one, but 2 new Rockford Fosgate amps \:D/

Lemme know what you think [-o<

Very nice, proudly made in the USA!
Better than the poorly made in China you buy these days.

Nice Amp. I think I found the manual for it: https://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/ ... et-man.pdf

Old school - lots of info, wiring instructions, etc. 24 pages!!!

I actually still have the manual Jim, and yes, crazy detailed

Paul, I hope you're not interested, as I would hate to see how much it would cost to ship across the big pond :-"

Still open for offers [-o<

Not needed Bobbo. I am a big fan of American car stereo equipment though.
But these are common amplifiers here as well, not difficult to buy locally. :-({|=

I have no idea what to offer without accidentally offending anyone! I'm just across town from the old rockford factory/building and used to live 5 minutes from it! It's a very cool piece that needs to be in a shark! Any idea what it would cost to ship to 85345? Thanks!

I'll see what I can find out, as I have a couple other bits to ship :-"

USPS seems to have gotten very expensive

I may try the local UPS, let's see what brown can do for you

Hey, maybe the factory wants it back [-o<

That check with UPS will be an eye-opener. They've gotten really proud of their service, maybe taking a hint from the USPS.

It looks like it might fit in a USPS Priority mail medium box (14" x 12" x 3 1/2") which ships for a flat rate of $16.10.

Thanks for the tips Jim and Ken =D>

I recently shipped a small light package to TX from CA using their cheapest ground service for the missus and to our surprise, the fee was $12

I really like that flat rate idea, forgot about that :-({|=

87Shark, you have a PM :-"

Well, it appears that UPS is indeed cheaper than the beloved postal service =D>

Think I'll be using them in the future \:D/

This amp is on its way to AZ, close to where they were originally made, according to the buyer, 87Shark =D>

Thanks Jeff, glad we were able to make a deal, as I didn't want to just bin it :-"

Hope you can use it [-o<
