My New '87 M6

Post by Ethanh100 »

Hi everyone,
Im new to this forum, thought I'd share my M6 that was recently gifted to me by my grandfather after he owned it for a few years. Quite an incredible car, very happy to finally be a part of this community.

Yeah beautiful. Looks like a pristine garage queen - you're very lucky. Needs to be driven but look after it.

WOW! what a beautiful example. Very lucky to have a cool grandfather.

So I told my daughter I'm leaving my 6 to my grandson (5 yrs. old)
and she said, no way it's coming to me first. Well, as long as
it stays in the family.

Good luck and years of enjoyment in that chariot.

That is a beautiful example with what looks like a pristine original dash. Treat the leather on that dash regularly and ALWAYS use a sunshade. Protect that leather, or it WILL shrink up on you.

Welcome to the forums, and the 6er fold.

I do believe it to be original, Luckily it spends very little time parked outside. Do you know of a leather treatment in particular that is good for this, or will just any standard car leather conditioner work just fine? Thanks!

Incredible car. You are very fortunate.

I recommend Leatherique for the seats.

Great grandpa indeed =D>

Now that is one pretty example, even white interior and original leather dash

Curious about the wheels, Beyern perhaps :-k

You need to tell us more, even though it appears to be stock other than the wheels, mileage and whatnot :-"

Thanks for joining, welcome to the madness \:D/

I myself am in the process in finding out a bit more. I am not sure on the wheels, I thought they might have been BBS as i thought ive seen some similar two piece wheels by BBS like those, but again not sure as the wheels were put on before my grandfather bought it.

My grandfather put an aftermarket exhaust along with an intake and a chip. This s38 absolutely screams with this exhaust. Again not sure what he put on it, ill have to give him a call later to figure some of this out.

101k original miles on it, but feels like way less on the interior and the exterior, always garage kept and didnt really see too much use or abuse.

Congrats mate!

Truly a gorgeous car and needless to mention the amazing pass on from your grandfather - a keeper for many many many years to come and I trust you'll enjoy every bit of that beauty right there!
