AC Clutch Replacment

Post by Scott635csi »

Anyone know if you can replace the AC Clutch without removing the AC Compressor. I have a AC Clutch that looks as if it has failed.

Thanks,

Hey Scott, don't have an answer to your question, but I'm moving your thread to the "Mechanical" forum, where you should get much more viewers [-o< [-o<

You should also note the MY of your 6er, as things changed much over the model years

Hi Scott,

Yes, the clutch can be replaced. You could find documentation in the manuals section of the forums. The Bosch pump on our cars is older, so it is going to be on many cars. Here's a link for a how-to video outlining the process on Youtube.

Yes, but on my M6 (Bosch/Behr) compressor, the clutch face does not just fall off. It needs a specialty puller/tool to remove. Anyone know of source?
