European Breakdown Cover

Post by sideshowbob »

Staring to prepare for our annual trip to LeMans 24 hour race, and LeMans Classic

Will be travelling from south of UK and be away for two long weekends, Wednesday to Monday on both occasions.

Just wondering does anyone on here now of a company that will insure a 30 year old 635 against breakdown and include recovery to UK on a short term basis.

Would be happy to insure for say a month to include both events.

My UK breakdown insurance covers all my daily cars and my older cars, but the European element stipulates car must not be older than 16 years !

Thanks

We have annual Nationwide Building Society insurance cover which covers us for European breakdown & recovery plus loads more for £13 per month. Got me out of trouble when the alternator on my 1998 Grand Cherokee failed last summer in France. Recovered me and gave me a car for a week whilst I waited for the parts, put us up in an hotel for three days. Brilliant 😉
