Re: Series 1 steering coupler - OEM or aftermarket?
Get ahold of Jay Stratton. His work is impeccable. He just did my PS pump and I am very pleased. By the way, the pump was a Rockauto rebuild and lasted about 60 miles

That's who. sfdon uses. Don is one of the top restorers of E9s in the country. He uses Pete's and if they weren't good he wouldn't be using them.

Re: New Windshield US 1980 BMW 633 CSi
I did mine with after market glass and a new seal from BMW. Myself and a friend put it in ourselves. I am totally happy with it. I simply called a glass company that does auto glass and was able to get one through them

If push comes to shove, White Post Restorations can rebuild it. They rebore the cylinder and then line it with a stainless steel liner and replace all of the mechanicals with new parts

Hi Bert as per your original quote you managed at one point in time to reproduce these rubbers. Can you still do that if we manage to have a group buy?

Re: Serier 1 steering coupler - OEM or aftermarket?
In my bushing searches over the years, I have determined poly bushings are too hard and if you aren't racing, they aren't the way to go. I am using a new original steering coupler from BMW and am more than pleases with it.There is not any vibration in the column and drives smooth. Aside from the fac...

Re: Fuel regulator
My 81 euro with Motronic, 1.0, uses the same regulator. It is 2.5 bar and and Ljet systems use the same one. The post 81 cars use a 3 bar . Unless your regulator has been replaced, it shouldn't be adjustable. My 81 Euro was 99% original and the pressure regulator was "fixed". The other thi...

Re: Seat cover vendors?
I am bringing back to life a 79 Euro635csi that had been sitting for ten years. Car has comfort seats, and the black velour is worn so badly that the seat covers need to be replaced. Seats themselves are in good shape. Can anyone recommend a source for seat covers that they have used? GAHH did my h...

Re: oversized pistons for M90 engine
My engine is the original M90 with custom pistons, I ordered mine from Diamond Racing pistons. The parent company, I found out, is JE pistons. The difference is JE wanted 2-3 months to fill the order, Diamond less than a month Prices very similar and the pistons are the same. You can order them for ...

Re: Transfer pump removal
lay a screw driver across the pump on the top. There will be enough places (tangs) where you can do this. Turn the screw driver with a pair of pliers and it should un screw. Had to this on my car so I know it will work

Re: WTB: Under hood light
Yes and no.. The difference is either the trunk light or engine bay light, have 1/2 of the lens painted silver on the inside of the lens going horizontal. I took the one I bought, masked off 1/2 the lens and rattle canned it. It's a no brainer. Just look at your trunk light ,and you can figure out w...

Re: Someone stop me driving. I’m addicted.
Years ago I bought my headliner from GAHH for under $200 and it fit perfect. Their material was close to the embossing on my original. Problem is to do it really right front and rear windshields have to come out as well as the rain gutters the body panels are all pinch welded in those areas The head...
