Re: (not affiliated) euro '78 633csi in WA
Ah, I thought that wheel looked familiar after all \:D/ My first BMW was an E21 320 iS, don't recall that steering wheel per se, but I was gonna say M1, figured I would get blasted for that :-" I also had an early Euro eons ago, and IIRC, the rear seat belts were added as part of the DOT proces...

I was thinking the same thing, rear head rests
They look cool but good luck trying to clean the inside of the rear glass
Interesting steering wheel as well, not sure if I've ever seen that one
Rear seat belts appear to be a DOT addition at the time of federalization

Maybe later I'll touch up the visible rusty spots Song, you should go back, remove the new tips and coat all of the rusted areas with POR-15 :-" It comes in lots of colors, including a version of silver that I used on the rusted portions of my brake rotors \:D/ Otherwise, looks great =D> I was...

Re: Weird Side Effect of a Car with Active Exhausts
Interesting indeed :-" Our X5 has something similar, but both sides do function, eventually  On a cold start, the exhaust only comes out of one side for about half a minute, before the other side opens :-k One has to wonder what BMW is thinking with these setups, besides making things mor...

Thanks Yasin
A buddy of mine saw that and said that it looks like it was made for it
Well, interesting, since it is
Figuring out how to mount it was the hardest part

Center console installation in a series 1
Yes, finally got to yet another project, something I purchased about a hundred years ago  I had picked up a center console from a series II eons ago and finally dug it out and figured out how to mount it, which took a little figuring, since series I cars don't have these originally :-" Lu...

Here's what a guy out my way did on his M6, appears to be an S38 but I really wouldn't know if that matters or not :-k I could put you in touch with him but would want to contact him first and take the discussion off line :-" I would ask him to post as well, of course, but I'm not sure if he's ...

Here's how I routed wiring from the engine bay into the cabin (the 2 blue ones), hard to see but there's plenty of places to sneak a couple of wires through

No affiliation, as usual

Looks a little rough in places but could be a good deal as well
Front air dam appears to be a Racing Dynamics unit and is not stock

Welcome, nice score
Hmm, Zender body kit, M parallel wheels, "some" shadowline trim, what's not to like
So, that rear apron is also a Zender item
Once again, welcome to the madness

Yep, works like a charm \:D/ I will admit, however, that the last time I used it I had a bitch of a time getting air out of the clutch hydraulics after replacing the brake MC and had to reverse bleed, which did work :-" And I will also add that I didn't follow the instructions which tell you to...

Hey Ralph, with all due respect, I'm fairly certain that the inner workings of the doors between series I and series II cars is vastly different
Which of course is also true of just about everything else mechanical and cosmetic between the 2
They all just sorta look alike

Hopefully these photos will help [-o< The first shot is of my remote lock actuator, but you can see that it simply attaches to the existing lock mechanism and when activated, pushes the linkage up or down, depending on if you are locking or unlocking :-" So it "may" be possible to try...
