Work is progressing nicely on my 83 CSI and I'm now addressing the suspension & brakes.
As I prefer a somewhat stiffer ride I went with Bilstein B8's and H&R Sport springs.
Question re the rear shocks for anyone who've used B8's.
The rear B8's have an adjustable spring perch (a steel clip that fits into different slots on the shock housing).
There're no instructions on which slot to set the perch at... Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
...Mike

I cant recall the exact one, but here is a picture from my recent install on a 87 m6. The HR lower the car a little. So, if you measure from the bottom of the OEM strut to the perch and set the new ones up with the same measurement (or as close as possible) that will give you a little drop from stock. That is how I figured it out. HTH

Drive it a bit. It's going to settle from that static shot just down from the lift.

Yes, I do think. If you like the stance fresh off the lift, you'll likely end up moving the perch ring down a slot after it settles. BT, DT.

I think I would move the perch up a notch if it settled too much....

You're absolutely right. I was thinking upside down. Apologies for my brain cramp. Point is it will likely change and require further adjustment. Mine did, but it's literally been years since I've touched the rear suspension bits. All I could remember was it needed tweaking after putting ~100 miles on it.
