looking for an M6/M635CSI

Post by rooban »

Hi all,

I am researching if it is possible to find an M635CSI (preferably) or an M6 in decent (not excellent) shape, meaning that it should be road ready but may have some work to be done. Most Ms sold in Europe are either RHD or fully restored and costing €60k+.

I know that buying a mediocre-conditioned car and then restoring it is a pain, it would probably cost more and take a lot of time but i simply don't have that much cash to spend ATM.

Of course, I can easily get a 635 in great condition and not have to worry about a thing, that's plan B :) But first I'd like to see if it even possible to get an M.

Thanks!
Mark

I went down this road some years ago and settled on plan B :) Nothing wrong with looking though but I know of two examples here in Australia, both asking for AUD$80,000

I have not. This actually looks quite promising, thanks a lot! Will definitely look into this.

I am, but it might still be cheaper to transport the car to Europe and adding all the taxes than finding one locally.

So again, I am trying to look at all options.

Thanks,

Has anyone ever heard of this M6? - WBAEE1415J2560860
Currently for sale in Germany. It's quite in a rough shape but the asking price is ~20k USD. Considering buying and getting into a restoration project.
