The photo on the Mason website is so dark I can't tell for sure, but I believe the Mason bars are solid, no "hinge" bolts between the mounting bases and the center bar like the one you linked.

There is much debate among strut bar users whether the hingeless design is stronger. I have some of each on my cars, and honestly, I'll never push any of them to ten tenths. However, the solid bars in my 85 E30 and 95 M3 _seem_ more effective than the hinged bars on my 87 E30 and 93 325is, but that could be because I know which has what. I will say either type made a difference in the handling of the cars. I do not have strut bars on my E24s.....yet.

Ive run a hinged alloy bar for about 10 years now on the front and a solid one on the rear. these when I put them on made a big difference on my e24, more so than any other car I have owned. the surfaces where the large goes through have slighly worn, but unlike all other people my age I throw it through corners at 9/10ths quite regularly.
