Windshield Washer Nozzle removal question

Post by Hefeweizen »

Did anyone here ever remove their washer nozzles and what is the trick to do that?
Thanks [-o< [/i]

Thanks, but the nozzle actually just has a lip that needs to be pushed in and then you can take the square nozzle out. Easier than I thought.

Actual instructions, because this took me longer to work out than I'm proud to admit.
  1. Open the bonnet.
  2. From the underside of the bonnet, use a flat-blade screw driver under the washer nozzle to gently lever the clip closed.
  3. Push/Lever the nozzle forwards towards the front of the car.
  4. The nozzle will now be clear of the body.
Be aware of the heater wire that may still be attached to the nozzle. I didn't need to remove this, so don't know how that works.

Hi

When you put it back, i found it easier to remove the plastic gasket first, put the nozzle back in then slip the gasket over it and gently push it under between the bonnet/hood and nozzle with a small flat screwdriver. I found cleaning the nozzles by removing them and leaving them in bleach for 30 minutes, them flushing them out with a large plastic syringe.
