That looks spectacular mate. Well done.

The wheel & tyre combo, the colour, the exhaust - it all looks awesome.
Thank-you kindly!
I appreciate it.

Bob - Curious how you determined that the engine issues were caused by using a K&N filter?
Yasin, I am not 100% sure by any means that the use of the K&N panel filter caused poor leakdown numbers after all those years, just using my intuition and engineering knowledge and background :-"

I'll dig out the filter (still have it :-? ) and see if I can take a photo with sunlight behind it [-o<

And I think there may be better aftermarket high flow air filter products out there, AFE comes to mind :-k

IIRC, they make both wet (oiled) and dry type filters =D>

OK, tried to take a shot looking through the filter with the sun behind it

Not great but you can clearly see where light is peeking through :-({|=

This filter was always cleaned using their recommendations, their cleaning solution followed by rinsing with water, nothing else, no brushes or anything :-k

Of course, it's up to you Yasin, but I would proceed with caution and look for alternatives :-"

Yasin,

I noticed your toolkit for this car is incorrect. It looks like you have the E28 tray instead of the e24 tray which has all the wrenches in a vertical position next to each other instead of 3 and 3. You can usually check the production date on the tray as well to know when it was produced.

Great question!
If you are referring to the picture on page 1, that was a "spare" E28 tool case I had. I salvaged some tools out of it as my car had a few missing pieces in it.

Thanks,
Yasin

Ok great, I notice the correct tool tray now.

I like that you found a different (non typical) set of wheels that are still period correct. Sometimes RC090's get old to see because you see them so frequently...

Love the CF airbox, looks great. Wonder if they can make them with a bigger inlet dia. Im on a full stand alone ecu now with no air meter could easily benefit from 100mm dia.

Thanks.

Yes the CF Airbox can be ordered with a larger inlet, definitely a benefit if you are on a full standalone that is MAP based.
