BMW no longer offering front calipers or rotors for early cars!

Post by ByronB »

BMW is no longer offering front calipers or rotors for the E12 based cars, and the rear calipers are now priced at over $1,100 EACH! I cannot believe BMW would do this to classic BMW owners. There is just no reason for this.

I ordered a set of rear calipers from wallothnesch for 370 euros. Hoping the one piston that was "grabby" on one of the front calipers will free up after I flush the system and out and get it all back together, otherwise I'll be ordering a pair of those from them as well.

I've been waiting for rotors from an aftermarket company for what seems like a year ](*,)

I don't need them now, but will just put them on the shelf for when I do :-"

This is indeed becoming a real situation :-({|=

Edit: ongoing discussion with multiple links [-(
