Servotronic module issue

Post by Elrond »

Hi guys,

Recently my servotrnoic star playing up, and the steering wheel would move a bit on its own (like 1/3 of an inch).
I removed the plug going to the servotnonic solenoid valve and the issue disappear immediately, unfortunately with the steering assistance.

I have read a bit about the Servotronic module and it is a semi-common issue, there appear to be x 3 options:
- a new type of Servotronic module that looks a bit like a relay ( I believe it to be the same as the late E32/34's) which requires and adapter
- fined 2nd hand original module
- fit 10-16 Ohm resistor

However I am not able to locate the unit, could you please tell me where it is? Also if someone has a working module for sale please send me a PM.

=D> Thank you very much, it seems to be near the Engine ECU behind/above the glove box, once I am with the car I will check.
It is a bit disappointing, I have ordered a used but good one from e-bay, which never arrived, so if anyone has a working one for sale, please contact me.
