A few of the "usual suspects" entered the RADwood NorCal event yesterday and it was a hoot

Hundreds of cars, 300 to 400, all kinds as this show is billed as a celebration of all things 80s and 90s

We entered the general area as the price for the "royalty" section was $100 and we didn't think that was worth the cost

But within 10 minutes or so the 3 of us were invited to the royalty section to park in a square configuration with a gorgeous 850 CSi in a color that I have never seen before, Tobago Blue

Talk about surprised, we couldn't believe it

There were so many cool cars and trucks (motorcycles as well) that I really only took a few pix, but Tommy should be adding some

Of course I had to take a couple of the green shark, funny that the rear 3/4 shot (I didn't take that one...) shows the reflection of some person standing there

Looks like it was a beautiful day, looks like its a great event, marvelous photos, thank you both for sharing them.

This looks like the royalty section to me.

Thanks Ellis, still kinda in shock

Turns out that the owner of the 850 CSi was an event VIP, well, according to the tag on the lanyard hanging from his neck

So we surmise that he requested that we "surround" him in the royalty area once he spotted "suitable" vehicles

And what better than a trio of 6ers, the predecessor to the 8 series

The weather was great, although the weather in San Francisco can be tricky

While it was cool, typical for SF, the sun was strong and I got fried

Interesting! I admire the content Jason Cammisa puts out (what I've seen on youtube) - though I distinctly remember hearing him say in his Jay Leno piece that he doesn't like coupes, that he considers a four-seater with two-doors as stupid.

Thanks for posting some great pictures. Looks like a great event.

I had a similar experience at the Radwood in Detroit a couple years ago. I was driving around looking for cheap and visible parking when one of the organizers spotted me and waved me in to be part of what apparently was the "red" section. Nice to be noticed!

It does look a little like a M1, but my full size picture I can tell it's a Testarossa. The other red car behind it is an Alpine. Nice variety! An overhead view from the Radwood facebook page:
