Good evening big Coupe community; thank you for the welcome.
I have been involved first with the e28 cars, and now with two e24s and one e28.
My first was this ‘86 535i, rotten but not forgotten:
Below are some pics of the current lineup:
Looking forward to contributing and learning more e24-specific info here!
Thank you,

Welcome, Joe!
You are too far gone to warn you of the insanity that is E24 ownership.

Thank you all! And in typical fashion, the A/C went from cold to ambient a day or two after I joined here. Always something, but at least I know I’m most likely looking for a single point of failure.
It’s extremely close, though it might not be as violet/indigo colored in the shade as perhaps it once was. In the sun/light, as the picture shows, it has no problem going violet though.
I recently bought a factory Royalblau fuel door because it was $20 on eBay and I wanted to see how close it was. It was so close that you’d might assume that the difference in shade is only due to the slightly varying angle of the fuel door relative to the surrounding body panel.
I’ll have to pull up next to one at The Vintage this fall to get to the bottom of it, because all I have to go on are pictures of factory Royalblau, aside from the fuel door I guess.
The car is a Royalblau car, and the keen eyes might have correctly questioned whether it has been repainted.

Royalblau is one of my favourites, had an e30 in that colour back in the day, beautiful colour, and nice collection!
