03/89 RHD Brake Master Cylinder

Post by bm635csi »

Hi Folks

03/89 635csi type code 5382

Searching for brake master cylinder and I only get for LHD

34311155270

From Realoem I get for RHD

34312225257

USA suppliers will not answer any RHD queries.

Can RHD use ..270 . What do RHD members use.

Rgds

If push comes to shove, White Post Restorations can rebuild it. They rebore the cylinder and then line it with a stainless steel liner and replace all of the mechanicals with new parts

Yes last resort.. but are these two interchangeable. The brake pipe seems to be in the correct side for RHD n LHD. Just can't find the RHD Part anywhere.

Wallothnesch will be your best bet. As you have said you cannot use the LHD unit as the lines enter in a different position

If you're considering upgrading your brakes the 750 MC is a direct fit and about half the cost. (I have in my '85)

Others have used this on their standard setup, same for E30 folk. viewtopic.php?t=30836

Thanks jps635 , just back from holiday and I will get them i.e 750 MC . Just looking at the spec I get this length below. Do you think the brake line that connect to port 1 and port 2 will match seeing its is shorter. Did you have to run a new brake pipe or modify to fit to the 750 MC 010210/4311156643? .
