Hello everyone,

I want to restore my rear (trunk)spoiler, which looks dry. I checked the internet and the old Porsches (928) forums with similar foam material. I found that Mothers Back-To-Black Trim & Plastic Restorer or even Vaseline are recommended; Armor All is not recommended due to causing cracks with time.

Do you have any suggestions or experience using a product to restore the spoiler?

If it's just faded, back to black or a similar restoration product will work.

for spoilers that are really bad (cracked, faded, bits ripped out) I've had decent luck restoring them by filling with a rubber filler and painting with Plasti-dip.

"Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat" Wipes goes on clear & works especially well on smooth undamaged rubber or plastic surfaces & "Solution Finish" Black goes on Black works well especially on severally faded rubber or plastic. Recommend wearing gloves & taping off body work with both products.

Thank you for your guidance. Fortunately, mine is only faded; I just wanted to make sure it was something that would not deteriorate it further.
