RHD Exhaust manifold for M88 into E12 chassis?

Post by Mamod17 »

Ok so I'm building an M88 to place in my e12 chassis based JPS tribute and I'm having trouble sourcing exhaust headers that will fit. There are a few off-the-shelf RHD headers for m30s in e28chassis , a few for e12 in LHD. But RHD in e12 is a struggle.

So questions in order of 'just get the car running until I get a custom headers''

In e12 Chassis:

Will exhaust manifold off M90 fit M88 head? (I know the m90 stock fit)

Will stock exhaust manifold on M88 fit in e12 based chassis?

Anyone know of an off the shelf item?

Thanks 🙏

What a cool project to have a M88 in a E12 chassis!!

I would say no 2 valve exhaust header or manifold will fit a 4 valve head, different port shape and bolt count / size
Looks like I see some small tubes on the exhaust side of your engine by the valve cover from a S38 B36 exhaust manifold??
I do wonder if U.S. spec S38 B35 manifolds might be modified on the downpipe to work for this...

I imagine the standard rhd manifold will fit - I've got a spare one in the shed from the upgrade to the Fritz system if there's a useful measurement or two you need.
